Forrest Pirovano was born in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey and moved to North Canton, Ohio when he was fourteen. While serving in the U.S. Navy, Forrest was introduced to the beauty of New England, especially Cape Cod. He fell in love with Cape Cod and his wife, Shirley. After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, he and Shirley settled in Marshfield Massachusetts where he worked in the advertising world, eventually owning his own agency.
Forrest now lives on Cape Cod. He loves the architecture and its relationship to the unique Cape Cod countryside. His love of the sea is also reflected in his realistic paintings that are impressions of the colors and shapes of the region. Antique sailboats are his favorites and he loves to recreate their images in oil paint.
During the summer season, Forrest can be found in Woods Hole on Saturdays and Sundays. You can see some of his Cape Cod paintings and watch him working on his latest Cape Cod painting. His Gallery is now open at Mashpee Commons, across from Mashpee Post Office.
